Ace The Audition
with Kenzo Lee
$375
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This class is designed to help actors develop a new method of looking at auditions with themselves in mind, working with materials instead of against them to achieve the best possible outcomes. This concept is more important than ever with the increased number of self tape auditions. This 6 week course includes the history of casting, analyzing how casting looks at materials and how to present the actor professionally and concisely, followed by multiple mock auditions in commercials, co-stars, and guest star level auditions. Topics also include understanding the difference between auditioning for larger roles vs day player roles, formatting resumes, and how to take great headshots. This is a show business class that requires some training in breaking down scripts and materials. Actors will be expected to be able to learn materials and sides quickly and come to class prepared to share their rehearsals/performances. Homework will include both written work and self tape auditions, about 1-2 hours per week outside of class.
